First lady to Kenya Miss. Lucy Kibaki and first Lady to Ethiopia W/ro Azeb Mesfin paid a visit to Mary Joy on March 2005. During their Visit, they have been briefed about the overall activity of the organization by Sr. Zebider (Executive Director of the Organization).

Mary Joy has celebrated sponsored children's day, 2 nd March, 2007. It is the first experience for the Organization and the event was accompanied by the National Celebration for victory of Adwa.

21Vulnerable children and youths have got free scholarship opportunities as given by various training institutions and Colleges. The fields of Study's include nursing, Vocational Skill, tourism and catering. The institutions are Central Health College , Mechane Jesus Vocational and Technical School , Lion Tourism and Hotel Institute, and Demeke Catering Training Center .
