What is Mary Joy Child/Family Sponsorship Scheme?

Our sponsorship scheme works with some of the poorest orphans in Ethiopia . When you chose to join our sponsorship scheme, you will ensure that a vulnerable child is provided with:

Food and nutritinal support
A home to live in
School material
Casual clothing and shoes
Recreational event

In the communities where Mary Joy operates child sponsorship scheme , you can be sure that your money is going to a child in need. We believe it is best to keep a child who has experienced grief in the surroundings they are familiar with and in contact with the relatives and neighbors they know. Your generous donation will enable the child to ensure his/her future.

How much does it cost to sponsor a child?

What information will I receive about the child I will sponsor?

When you join our child sponsorship scheme, you will become the sole sponsor of a child/family. They will know that you are the person supporting them and caring for their future. We will provide you with a photograph of the child you sponsor and information about their background. Read more...

Can I contact the child I will sponsor?

You will be able to write letters and emails to the child you sponsor via Mary Joy. We can also arrange for you to visit the child you sponsor. How long should I sponsor a child?

When you chose to sponsor a child, neither you, nor the child you sponsor are tied into a contract. However, we encourage Sponsors to support a child for as long as they can.
